This recipe supports healthy digestion and is super easy to make and is my own creation. I will be adding it to my upcoming book, but first I invite all of you to give some of my recipes a try and please share them with others 🙂
The apple adds a perfect sweetness to this dish and the celery seed creates a simple spice. This salad would make an excellent addition to BBQ’d chicken breast or a wild steak.
Serves 1-2 people. NOTE: I had just completed my workout when I made it so I ate it all- ALSO I am not a big fan of cooked fruit of any kind, but this is an exception for me 😉
2 or more cups chopped or sliced cabbage
2 or more collard leaves, chopped
1/2-med onion chopped
1 large apple, chopped
1/2 tsp -celery seed
1 tbsp coconut oil, butter or ghee
Pinch of sea salt
1. Clean and wash a head of cabbage, collard leaves and an apple. Slice and chop into pieces.
2. Add onion and fat (coconut oil, butter or ghee) to a non-stick ceramic or stainless steel pan. Sauté for 2 mins on med heat.
3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir and fry for another 5 mins or until cabbage is lightly cooked and onion is translucent.
4. Transfer to a bowl and serve warm. Enjoy!
